SRE and DevOps transformation for one of India's largest NBFCs.
A multi-year engagement that took a high-transaction lending platform from manual, error-prone releases to automated, governed delivery.

- Practice
- SRE, DevOps and DevSecOps
- Engagement
- Multi-year, embedded in production engineering
- Platform
- Microsoft Azure
The challenge
Manual, error-prone deployments were creating compounding reliability risk on a high-transaction lending platform in a regulated environment. Releases took days and carried high rollback risk. No service-level objectives were defined, incident response depended on individual memory rather than runbooks, security tooling was not built into delivery, and cloud costs were ungoverned.
What we did
- Implemented CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, Terraform and Ansible across the Azure environment.
- Introduced SRE practice: service-level objectives, error budgets, on-call with PagerDuty and runbooks for every critical service.
- Built DevSecOps controls into every deployment stage, with vulnerability scanning and endpoint security.
- Completed the platform with Docker, Kubernetes and Prometheus-based observability, alongside Splunk and New Relic.
- Set up a FinOps governance framework so cloud spend is visible and owned.
The impact
The client reported a 95%+ automation success rate and release cycles up to 50% shorter. Security compliance improved across regulated environments, and the engineering organisation moved from reactive firefighting to proactive platform ownership.
Outcomes as reported by the client. Results depend on scope, environment and starting maturity. Client names are withheld under confidentiality.
